So, you’re headed to party + you want to enjoy yourself without feeling like crap after? I got you!
Here are 5 SIMPLE tips to take with you to your next party, try one or all and let me know how they go ❤️

#1 Eat Something Small Before You Go
Personally, I like to grab a protein bar on my way out the door (these are my favs). I find if I have something small, rather than show up hungry, I’m more mindful about what I’m eating + I’m less likely to over do it.
Because, let’s face it, when we show up hungry, we stuff our faces like wild animals and then have that uncomfortable full feeling later. Nobody enjoys that, so why do we keep doing it?!

#2 Space Out Alcoholic Beverages with Water
If you plan to enjoy some alcoholic beverages, I highly recommend having water in between!
Not only does it help prevent a hangover (who doesn’t want that??), but it will also help keep you full, focuses, and way from the snacks!
Because, I don’t know about you, but I know if I’ve been drinking + not hydrating, I’m way more likely to hit the snacks and eat something I may not actually want.

#3 Start with Veggies
I’m not saying only eat veggies, I’m saying start with them! How often do you start with pizza, then head back for salad? Probably never, right? So, start with salad (or a veggie tray), THEN enjoy your pizza!
This will help you stay full and focused while also enjoying treats – Win. Win!

#4 Pre-Plan Your Treat(s)
If you’re going to a birthday party and know you’ll want cake, then commit to fully enjoying the cake and passing on the other treats offered!
Sticking to your pre-planned treat will help you feel confident in your abilities, and in control of your journey. And, that’s the BEST feeling!

#5 Don’t Hang Around the Food Table
Think about it, how many times have you sat with a bowl of chips in front of you and not eaten them? Probably never, right?
Sitting in front of yummy snacks and not eating them takes an enormous about of will power and you want to be able to enjoy the party without focusing on not eating something. Get your plate and step away from the snacks! Mingle with your friends, play a game, talk to someone new. What ever it takes, you got this!
